The 1974 Airstream

Uncle Brian with his oh so attractive 1974 Airstream! A bit of class and a bit of trash.

Update on the Photographer

I am so excited that my chains of school have been broken. As Christmas and New Years have both come and gone the next thing to come is normally school. Yet, as I continue to feel that I have unfinished homework, I no longer have school classes to attend. What a great feeling! For those of you who have not quite finished...the end will come. And for those who have not started...the sooner you start, the sooner the end will come. Although I complete all of my classes at the end of December 2008 I will not walk in graduation until May of 2009.

I have learned so much in my studies. I never knew there were so many little details in taking pictures. I have had the most fun with alternative processes like cyanotypes, tintypes and such. I remember the first time I came out of the dark room with an 11x14 print from a large format negative (4"x5"). I wanted to cry because the detail in the grays were so beautiful!

The part that I think was the most difficult was all the digital work. Memorizing all of the short cuts and tools in Photoshop, along with building web pages and getting a crash course in Graphic Design. I feel like I grew the most in those areas in my last semester. You know the old saying, you get a hang of it right before it's over, kind of thing.

Over all, I had a wonderful experience with awesome teachers! I am so happy that Jeremiah (my wonderfully supportive husband) told me to go for the gold and get a degree in Commercial Photography. It has been what I have wanted for a long time. And who knows maybe I will miss sweating over projects so much that I have to get a Bachelors.....maybe one day.

My Family

From top to bottom these are the siblings; Krista (Will was sick for this
photo shoot), Me & Jeremiah, Jay and, pulling up the rear is always, Kezia.
I have spent my life torturing them by forcing them to pose as my models.
I am starting to notice that they know how to work me almost as good as
I work them...
